First, since your key is not working, you should unlock your computer with the password:
- Unplug your USB flash drive
- Click anywhere on the screen with the left mouse button, then press a few times the Enter key to display the password dialog
- Type your password: the session is released and the monitoring is suspended
If you have just installed PREDATOR and your USB key does not seem to unlock your computer, it is most certainly due to your antivirus software and/or Windows Defender which prevent PREDATOR to access your USB drive:
- Right-click the PREDATOR icon that is in the taskbar and click Exit
- Verify that your USB flash drive is formatted with exFat or Fat32
- Configure your antivirus and/or Windows Defender to permanently ignore PREDATOR: add it to its "Exceptions" list.
If your USB key used to unlock your computer and then suddenly fails to do so, it may be because you have removed the key when the PREDATOR icon was red, or you have deleted the file "predator*.ctl" contained therein, or the key is damaged:
- Right-click the PREDATOR icon that is in the taskbar and click the Preferences item
- Insert your USB flash drive again
- Prepare your key as indicated in paragraph Flash Drive in the Settings page
