FAQ: Windows 8 supported features

PREDATOR protects the Desktop of Windows 8 and 8.1.
It it does not manage the Start screen, aka Metro or Modern UI.
This is due to a design choice made by Microsoft, of having two distinct user interfaces in their new operating system: Desktop and Metro.
They cannot communicate with each other: a desktop application cannot interfere with Metro, and a Metro application cannot interfere with the desktop.

PREDATOR works fine in the Desktop of Windows 8 and 8.1. When you remove your flash drive, the screen goes black and your session is locked.
There is no way to open the Metro interface nor to gain control of your computer while it is being locked by PREDATOR.
